Can anyone tell me where to find a aftermarket dashboard that has the 3 instrument cluster holes, glove box, cd player holes etc. I would prefer carbonfibre look or vynal look. The only place I can find in aus is minisport and not really what im chasing. Cheers Mike |

Hi Mike, like ministar says, make your own. I personally don`t like any of the off the shelf dashboards so am making my own. Takes a bit of time but worth it in the end. Jethro |

Very true. Just finished mine and made my own glove box and cut a head unit slot etc. Pretty simple to do and the finished product is just how you like it! |

How do you do it? Cut some plywood, cover in vinyl and bolt/glue in? |

Use 3mm aluminium & a bi-metal holesaw. Either leave naked or foam padded [6-10mm] & vinyl/black leather for an up market look. |

Quick thread hijack, how do you guys mount them? Ive cut a dash out of 9mm ply and haven't been able to work it out... Can you purchase brackets? |

I used right angle brackets and bent them decreasing the angle until they fit comfortably. You can screw them to the dash and then to the dash rails. If you have a globe box it is easy to open it and reach around to screw the dash on. Screw the brackets to the dash before you cover it vinyl (or whatever you choose) so the screw heads are hidden. You can also use screw caps and press them onto the screw heads to make a neater job of it. This is just one of many ways. |
