A colleague is in the market to buy a mid-60's Mini, and is looking at this one. Anyone here know it?

There is that one ( which I think is from somewhere near Petersham ) and there is/was another one at Mayfield Newcastle , both owners have dropped the price a long way to get a sale , both of them are solid Minimatics with one or two minor problems

.

Yep, Maroubra, that's the one. I thought it was an interesting coincidence - there was a thread recently discussing the few MiniMatics left on the road, and then I'm asked for my opinion on one

So the owner's not on Ausmini then.. cool. Is there anyone in the area who might be able to have a look at it for me (liquid compensation provided ;) )?

[edit]

I'll throw this out there as well -- if anyone has for sale a Deluxe or K in moderately standard trim and good-to-above-average condition, I have a buyer ;)

The mini in maroubra has been on sale for around 1.5 years.
He wanted 10k for it and dropped it to 8k about 11 months ago.

I was looking to get that mini but purchased a 1275cc 1993 rover mini from Melbourne 11 months ago.

I like the interior of the car and the fact it comes with the jack.

Edit:
I am more then happy to have a look at the mini and send specific pictures if need be.
I work 15min away.

OK, so she's now decided that she wants a manual so this one is off the list. Thanks everyone for the feedback, and to danny_ for the offer to inspect. Much appreciated 8)

I'm running a Clubman GT box (same as Mk2S) with 3.647 diff.
