Hi Steve, There are a large number of key combinations, hundreds but not thousands like new cars, but you may get lucky.
Your best bet maybe to try and open the qtr vent window.

Drive over to Mini King at Narellan and try all his keys- he has a whole bunch. 8)

There`s actually only about 50 or 60,,, i`ll count them one day

My dad has the factory key board with every key meant to fit a mini & their corresponding number

sorry but the only way to find the right door key is to try them all one at a time

ign switches tho, often have the number stamped into the barrell assy

John @ miniking would be my suggestion also, or a locksmith

Talk to Mini King.

When you do get it unlocked it might be a good idea to get all the locks keyed the same so you only have one key for all the locks just like when it was new.

All mini door lock barrels that I have seen have a number stamped into them.
For a door add FS in front ie FS123 and and locksmith can cut a key to the code.
To find the code you need to remove the barrel from the handle or housing, its fairly simple to do. On very worn locks the number can be faint, but a carefull clean should make it legible.
Clubmans had the same key number for both doors, every mini I've seen has a different boot key number from new. The number is on the barrel for a boot lock also. Again you need to remove the barrel from the handle to find it.
Hope this helps,
Ben

I had a Mini Deluxe/K/Cooper S RH door handle.
It was locked.
There seems no way to access the barrel without unlocking it first, as the lock pin gets in the way of removing the escutcheon.
So I took it to Mini King and found a key.. 8)

They are often so worn that many keys will open them. Insert a key and put a little bit of load in the barrel by rotating it slightly (in the correct direction to unlock it) then saw the key backwards and forwards a few times and it will probably unlock.

If you have a few keys, you can take the barrel out and see which key does the best job of retracting the tumblers, then file off the ends of any tumblers that still protrude. The lock will be slightly less secure, but lets face it, if a car thief is serious about getting into a deluxe, the lock will only slow him down by a few seconds.
