After repacking my Mini's RH swivel hub this week I need another tub of Castrol LMM grease. Supercheap? No stock and no spot for it anymore. Repco? No, unless I want a 5lb? tub. My local Auto One? No. Alright, so who stocks it? Auto One told me they don't keep Castrol now `because they are such a-holes to deal with'. But did they have a tub of Valvoline equivalent handy? NO. ![]() /end rant.... I'll go see Autobarn tomorrow but after this I'm less than hopeful. |

Every BP servo I use carries it last time I looked, but haven't looked in a little while. |

I saw some at my local Ripco last week in the 450g tubes for the plungers i think? I ended up buying some castrol GRRB.. $30 for 500g is a rip off if you ask me. All i had to do was pack 2 small ball joints when fitting the hilos.. |

Yeah they had it in grease gun cartridges, but I want it to pack cvs etc etc etc so I need a tub. My grease gun has Mobil Supergrease in. |

Doc, it is time for you to buy another grease gun solely for that type of grease. I have an old Lincoln as well as a few teclamits both of the car and old bike variety. There are a few others which I have not yet cleaned up. There are really no reason to use one type of grease for everything and as there are specialised grease why not specialised grease guns. And they are really cheap. |

I use LMM for coating reground cams & lifters, head stud threads, packing CVs & pot joints, etc etc I find it inconvenient to get it for this from a damned grease gun! I just want a tub, dammit! ![]() |

Can someone please get a 500gm empty margarine tub, fill it with the stuff from a grease gun, and post it to Doc? ![]() |

OK all, I took Matt's advice and bit the bullet- and now have 2.5kg of the stuff. It'll outlast me. ![]() When I pass on I'll leave the balance to Matt in my will. ![]() |
