I need a K&N Filter for my 1.5" SU Where can I get one in sydney? Or, is there a better filter I can get for an 1.5" SU? Cheers |

Probably the donut filter does better- if you MUST have a K&N, I'd fit their replacement element into the stock case. Best of both worlds then. IMO the conical K&N is too small (for bigger motors anyhow). Not enough area... |

I always worry about the lack of surface area in a lot of filters, even some of the paper filters are not made properly and only a small part of the paper is actually being used. |

Standard donut filter with some holes in it sounds good to me then! Will dig out the old filter housing tomorrow. thanks gentlemen |

Unfortunately there are no "stock" filter cases for twin 1.5s. I (or rather the local dyno) found 2hp when we replaced my home made case (2 flat panels sandwiching a pair of XU1 paper filters) with a pair of K&N cones. I haven't done the maths but I would suggest any concerns do not involve issues of filter area. Cheers, Ian |
