I guess I should respond to this as it has my name on it. :D

Pics are of a late 1969 Cooper S. I have changed a few things like the Clutch master, cylinder, coil, plug leads, radiator, seat belts, interior light, steering wheel, gear stick knob, etc. since these pics to take it back to more original.

I have a few more pics if you would like them.

I'm pretty sure this car is Indigo Blue. It's a mid-Late 68 MkI Cooper S and it is one of the most beautiful and accurate restorations I have ever seen. An absolute credit to it's owner/restorer.

There were minor trim and detail changes over the years that these were built.

Bear in mind it is one of those colours that can look very different in photos depending on the light as you can see in the other post.

If I had to guess, Mr Moke, I reckon your car should look very close to the one phillb has pictured.

I think we worked out your car is very late '67 or early '68 by the chassis no and I'm sure indigo blue is the 'correct' colour.

Does anyone know if the interior colour (seats etc) would more than likely have been blue/grey (as per the car phillb has pictured), or would the off white/bone interior colour have been a commom option for a indigo blue Mk1 S as well?

Note the attention to detail on Trevor's car. Even down to the period radiator hose clips which are almost impossible to find these days.

I have seen that car a few times and it truely is remarkablely done.

Mine isn't up to the standard above but just to show it to you in different light and also to make it easier for me to find this thread so I can look at the one above for inspiration later!

The seats and interior were blue in the Indigo Blue Cooper S I purchased new in 1969.

I think MiniSport stock the blue 'westminster' style carpet as well. . .pricey but it does look 'right'.

Whilst the seats and trim in mine was blue the carpet was the usual Cooper S black.

A friend of mine bought an Indigo Blue with White roof Cooper S in 1968 it had the Blue interior, I was so impressed with the car I ordered the exact same car and when it arrived at the dealer I got a call to say your S has arrived but it has the Fawn/Beige interior instead of the Blue interior, I checked it out and it looked fine so I took delivery even though it was not what I ordered.
