Is this what you're after, or is there more than one 29D cap type?

from Minicentral

Hi Hanra,

Ever thought of chnaging to a different dissy? Parts for these are getting a bit harder to get as they were only made here in Oz and these ceased manufacture in the early 70's. Parts from the UK don't fit, like those from Karcraft.

They are also one of the most crap dissies ever made.

I've bought plenty of parts from Karkraft that fit perfectly

They most likely do, but do they stock them for a 29D? As GT pointed out, they are not a common dizzy....

Ive just spent $120 having mine repaired/re-curved, and just purchased another Pertronix kit for it. It was also re-bushed about 6 or 7 years ago (prob only about 5,000 kays ago)... So Id rather not put it to waste...

Google is your friend...
http://www.tradeparts.com.au/product_in ... s_id=10917

Also there are some listed on www.trademe.co.nz

[edit] Looks to be same as 1600 Capri etc, try for Ford parts.
According to http://www.classic-ford.org/cfp/tm.aspx ... print=true there is an Autolite number too.

My current Karcraft listing doesn't seem to have a 29D cap.

Karcraft doesn't have them atm. Was told that being an 'australian version' of lucas there are few places that stock the caps anymore. Instead I bought a chinese copy of the 45D for approx $80 for the whole unit (including points + cap). Was told they have sold hundreds of them without any complaints.

Hmmm, they're usually at Supercrap. They were fitted to Escorts and maybe Cortinas (??) at one stage. They've been surprisingly resilient on the shelf until now...

I guess Bosch haven't finished tooling up the Chinese yet. Where all the recent (crappy) Bosch stuff is coming from. :x

[edit] try here, I just bought 2x Pulsar ones (@ $16.94 ea, + $15 freight) before they disappear too! :P
