What Drivers Handbook and Passport to Service (or other books) were issued with Australian delivered Minis, including Coopers, up to early 1965 (i.e. prior to the grey covered book being issued)? Photos or scans of the cover of such publications would be greatly appreciated.

Why am I asking? Because I'm producing a bibliography of BMC and Leyland Australia documents and publications, and I have minimal information about the Drivers Handbooks for this period.

Have you got all the Blue Leyland stuff from the early 70's

I got a radio book, a user guide, a service book and a blue folder it all fit in.

No I haven't, and that was going to be my next pursuit (i.e. the Clubman series onwards). I'll PM you to see if you are willing and able to send me a picture or scan of the front and back pages of those publications. I'm keen to identify the different versions and the likely date they were issued.

For everyone's benefit, my plan is to publish the results in a public forum so Mini enthusiasts have a reliable source of historical data at their disposal.

Any other contributions gratefully accepted. :)

I dont know if i can get to it soon, but i also have a heap of other docs that ive accumlated over the years.

My favourite item is an actual Leyland Mechanics Manual, Red 4 Ring Binder with BMC and Leyland on the front, and a comprehensive repair manual in single pages inside. Its similar to the black/blue book, but its got much more in it. :D :D :D :D :D

The Morris Mini Cooper Driver's handbook.
AKD3029C published 7/62.

Buff coloured B4 size? with red lettering and BMC logo. Illustration of the early cars detailing the few odd differences found in these cars such as the female thread type screws for the taillight lenses, early re-circulation heater and rheostat for fan, early type steady bracket etc..

What pics do you need?

Many thanks for feedback, and offer of picture. Now I know the publication number I can get some photos online at the Performance Conversions website:

So this was issued with Australian delivered Mini Coopers, yes? Were there any Australian amendents to this document (e.g. a supplement or pasted over bit)?

AFAIK this was the book that came with Coopers but can't be 100%. No Australian addendum in this book. The Cooper was CKD and cant see why BMC Australia would publish a book peculiar to Australia for it.
