I pisked up my new 1/4 window rubbers.
Does anyone have any tips or tricks on fitting ?

Sorry, I didn't read it all when I posted- the bloke who wrote it has since given up on Minis, taken his website down and is now a Torana lover. :cry:

[edit] Note the original straight upright seal had a strip of metal inside it where the rivets go through.
Current seals have flat washers instead- they are more fragile and you can rip the seal from the washers if not careful.
Another example of improved quality (not). :cry:
[edit] check the metal frame has not pulled away from the glass, top or bottom. If it does, the frame will drag the rubber out at the bottom if you dare open/close the window.. :x

Take the whole 1/4 glass assembly out of the door. It is much easier that way i started at the top and fed the new rubber in with a very small screwdriver, taking my time and going very slowly.
