Post subject:  MINI Tools - Skyes Picavant / Churchill Tools

I have scored a whole collection of Mini tools and need to ID some of them

I brought them so I could get the board

Some are Churchill some Skyes

Looking for an old Sykes Cataloge (I have one some where) to work out whats what

I have the ones missing on the board and quite a few double ups

Saw that on TM and as I had a number of the tools already decided it was getting a little pricey. Nice collection though, did it turn out to be complete? It was unclear from the photo if all was there. Nice !!

this could be fun :D

going from left to right... but maybe you should put numbers against all of the bits & bobs and we can pick out the ones we know

1. I reckon that's a tool for holding a rubber uni drive yoke while doing up the nut

2. ball joint splitter

3. blind bearing puller for getting idler gear bearings out of the transfer case - I want that one!

4. is that a really really long bleed nipple?

5. (the round socket thingy at the top, not the horseshow thingy at the bottom) head stud remover

6... hard to tell what comes next

If you have a copy of the Mini Comprehensive Workshop Manual dated 1975 turn to Section S and you will find all the tools shown.
If you do not have this manual send me your email address and i will scan the pages and send

Hi

There where quite a few missing lucky for me I already have them

I only really wanted the board.

I have known the seller for many years and he thru in quite a few extras when he realised I had won

When I get back from hoilday I will go thru my cabinet and see what double ups there are. There will be a few.

The only one I would like is the factory suspension reamer tool

I collect Churchill / Skyes tools for Mini's

Cheers

How small or big is that? If it was really small i could imagine those little fingers scraping out piston ring grooves?

Post subject:

yes I could see it doing that.

its 1 3/4 inches across

I will find a piston and see if it will fit
