Can anybody give me some fitting measurements for my door mirrors.

There is a flat portion of the door at the top, which I presume is the best place to fit a mirror.

The mirror needs to be placed as close to the edge as possible or the quarter window will foul it when the windown is opened.

Anybody got some measurements or photo's to show what they did?

I have different mirrors and was able to use 6mm nutserts with a metal plate behind the body panel which is glued with some sikaflex.

You might be able to open the quarter window but if you do you probably wont be able to see in the mirror.

I would say on a car with Aussie doors you place them back behind the vertical of the quarter window. This has another benefit in that because the mirror is closer to you then the area you can see in it is greater.

Whatever you do make sure you get a second person to hold them in position while you check you can see OK in them.

I agree with Phillb, check your 1/4 windows will open OK.

Are you putting them on to use them or are they simply aesthetic?

In my climate I value an opening quarter window over a side mirror.

Has anyone ever actually used a passenger side mirror on a Mini? Why?
