My Tacho in my mini isnt working correctly so im wanting to know the following:

If im going 100kms in third what revs am i doing?

Im not sure of the ratios, is there a calculor somewhere available?

Just curious

I have a spreadsheet that calculates it - 5150rpm is 100.74kph with a 1.35:1 3rd gear, 3.44:1 diff and 165/70/10 tyres

so, about 5150rpm :)

edited! source ratio is here - http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=63491

did you catch my multiple edits? my fingers went faster than my brain.... but yeah, 130kph in 3rd gear is OK, but you've probably run out of torque by then...

I love seeing in-car videos of Nb cars changing from 2nd to 3rd at 60mph - screaming!

Errr.....ummmmm.....Simon, I think there is a BIG error in your spread sheet!

Should be about a needle widths under 4000 RPMs. It's 25.7 kph per 1000 RPM.
