I need help!

I know I have seen repro Cooper S wheels in steel but there was also a mob that sold alloy versions.

Anyone heard of them? Anyone out there that can steer me in that direction?

yep.. .that's my wheel. You can see that the offset etc. is identical to an LP883 wheel. The only difference is that the hubcap sits out a little bit further on a steel wheel due to the thickness of the alloy. I used to get some very funny reactions from people, most wouldn't notice, but occasionally someone would walk past and stop, double-take, get really close and feel it, then look up at me with a "WTF??!!!" type expression on their face

Mine came from Japan on a rover frontcut, however I'm pretty sure that minisport sell the same wheel; the markings etc. are the same (can't see the big version of the minisport picture anymore though). http://www.minisport.com/mini-spare-par ... ilver.html - dirt cheap - I'd buy another set in a heartbeat. Beautiful machining

The only difference I can see from the picture is there is a little bit of the rim relieved around the hole for the valve. My wheels use a solid stem which has a smaller foot so doesn't need to be relieved.

Thanks Simon.

The last question would be are the LP883's the same for a 1964 English Cooper S?

Sorry just to clarify, I have the large offset ones mentioned above, that fit outside 8.4" brakes, hence the mention of bearings. Not to be confused with the reproduction ones Simonk has.

I think all LP883's are the same dimensions (all made by Dunlop, but in different countries maybe?)... the wheel dictionary only shows the one variety

'64 S' had LP883's available as an option, so yeah, should be the same

I think that Dunlop only made wheels in the UK. I have not seen anything saying they made wheels anywhere else.
