Hi all

Just wondering what size or part number I need for the screws/bolts to hold the boot lid to the boot hinge. It needs two on each side to the vertical part of the hinge. In the 8 years since I took it off, they have gone wandering. I havent been able to find these listed in any website.

And just an off hand question about headlights, my front right has a nice crack through it and needs replacing. Is it better to get a single replacement or replace both with new ones (and are the curved lense ok to use on my 68 matic? My current ones are the original 1968 ones)

Thanks

Andrew

Your boot lid hinges should have studs in them (on the vertical bit). The nuts that go on them are 1/4" UNF. You could use a bolt, but the top one, in particular, would need to be short.

I'd suggest replacing both headlamps. They do go off with age and use.

The boot hinges are a crappy alloy- don't overtighten the studs or they can rip out.
I bought some Grade 5, 1/4" UNF setscrews + nuts from Supercrap and cut the heads off- made studs to length.

I use grub screws, that way I can stop the stud turning whilst tightening the nut.
