No idea what they are worth. Are they a mirrored pair?

Way too big for a 998/1100.

If they need a rebuild your up for another $100 + the cost of the linkages!
You can buy the linkages, I seen them on web sites! If I find them again I'll post a link.
Also like Poeee said, too big for a 998 or 1100.

Cheers Shane

Thats ok, if i wait another month or two, i have a family friend who rebuilds them for free, i just buy the kits and they are a matching pair.
Wasn't planning on keeping them just wanted to know what theyre worth.
I bought a box of random parts for $65 i got;
1x LH 1.5", 2x RH 1.5", a 1.5" twin manifold, a couple of other random SU bits and what i think is an injected manifold and throttle body...(maybe u could elaborate for me).
I'll post a pic when i get home

On a closer look it isn't 2x 1.5" its a 1.5" and a 1.25" SU
But the 1.5" pair is there and so is the manifold...
So is that an injected manifold and a throttle body?

That manifold at the back is off a 875cc Hillman Imp. It takes a Solex carby.

a rebuilt set of twin 1.5"s might get $4-600 on ebay, depending on who is bidding...

Both Kev (irish) & i are sitting here looking at that pic of the carbs & manifolds & it`s looking suspiciously like the manifold is from an MGB,,, so you can use it if you cut it shorter///narrow-er

& there`s absolutely nothing wrong with running a 998 or an 1100 with 1&1/2 carbs,,, they run std with 1&1/2 carbs,,, so no different with 2 of them

each piston/bore still only sees the ONE carby anyways

I seem to remember you saying this about some dismantled dizzy's and a few of other parts aswell.

You have your work cut out for you there and bucks to be made!
(Do I get a cut for getting you on track?? )

Excuse my naiveity but is the MGB not just an A series motor?

No, The MGB uses the B series motor.
