Hi guys, Can somebody help me out here please. I neede the conrod bolt torque for a late model 1275 with 12 point nuts. My book says 46 ft lbs but it feels wrong. Thanlks Al |

They are only 11/32" bolts on those motors, so I think 35 ft/lb is correct. My Leyland book says 35 for all rod bolts except Cooper S which is 46. My Gregorys 02 book covers 1275s up to 1978, it also says 35. |

If you've torqued it to 46 ft/lbs, discard the nut and the bolt. Make sure they are NEVER used again. |
