Disregarding legalities, has anyone bought carbon fibre doors and fitted them with glass and rubbers on a road car? Like the ones from carbon weezel? cheers, Bill |

It wouldnt be hard to do, theyre in my list of spare second jobs. Just take the skin off the door, clean it up and glue a flat piece of carbon on it. Drill holes in the frame as you wish and your done. Not as light as a full carbon door but youd be 90% there for about 30% effort. |

Bill did you really think someone else would have done this? hahaha Also I believe the ones from carbon weazel are more than just a skin, they include everything including the map bin... |

I would do what Kirby said probably Take your skin off and get a fibreglass or carbon skin and glue it onto the metal frame. If you want to lose weight aswell, lop off the door bins! |

Just a quick question.... why go to the trouble of getting nice light (and expensive) Cf doors, then put heavy glass in them. Seems a waste. Definately go lexan windows ![]() |

Only cause plastic goes chat after a while, also it restricts you to those small sliding holes as windows........ |

You can still have big windows so long as your not a lazy as$ and put some effort into making sliding 850 style windows or make it 1 piece slide up and down with an internal bolt lock or something. |
