I want to repaint the rims on my 1963 850. What colour should these be, I have seen some in white and some in silver .Thanks

They were silver on a 63. I am guessing the same birch silver as the Cooper S.

There has been a few threads on this. Winnabey put this thread out on colours which includes wheels but yours may be older.

I have a feeling the early ones had white wheels and they changed to silver in about 62. But I don't have any real info to back it up.

My `61 with the Pommy tube seats had OEW wheels. :P
One owner (was local BMC mechanic), I bought it in 1964-65...

sorry I can't find where I wrote down the build info - was rego Feb '63

Ian's 850 list seems to have gone walkies....... that may have helped date it a bit better
