1. What timing mark or degrees should you run a standard 1275 with low compression pistons on?
Have seen 3 and 5 degrees
2. What temperature should the car run at normal driving and use?
3. Have a metallic tapping noise that comes on sometimes after revving and goes before idle, hard to tell what area of the engine bay it is coming from.

The rattle is the radiator shroud.

1. somewhere there - realistically those figures were correct with a brand new distributor, fuel system and 1960's fuel - todays figures can be a lot different, but that's your starting point.

2. ideally 82 degrees C - where the thermostat runs. Shouldn't spend much time over 90 though
