1. What timing mark or degrees should you run a standard 1275 with low compression pistons on? Have seen 3 and 5 degrees 2. What temperature should the car run at normal driving and use? 3. Have a metallic tapping noise that comes on sometimes after revving and goes before idle, hard to tell what area of the engine bay it is coming from. Thanks |

Thanks 1. somewhere there - realistically those figures were correct with a brand new distributor, fuel system and 1960's fuel - todays figures can be a lot different, but that's your starting point. 2. ideally 82 degrees C - where the thermostat runs. Shouldn't spend much time over 90 though |
