don't think so, but if you take plenty of pictures, you can have the honours ![]() If you've bought a complete kit, it's an "remove old stuff" and "install new stuff" type deal. I assume the kit isn't assembled as well, so you'll need to read the manual to find out how to shim the balljoints properly, and read the how-to on setting the preload on the wheel bearings. The worst part is probably getting the old CV joints off the driveshafts so you can install the new ones. Put the driveshaft vertically in your vice with the CV hanging down, and hit it really really hard with a big hammer - make sure your feet are out of the way. Screw (and tighten) the brake lines into the calipers before you bolt the calipers onto the uprights, that way you can spin them around as you do it up, it's about impossible otherwise. Another trick for young players is to make sure the caliper bleed nipples are at the top, not at the bottom - if the bleeders are at the bottom you'll have a big bubble in the top of the caliper you can never get rid of |

..definitely do this, it's how i realised they'd sent me two left hand side calipers. ![]() |

I did this conversion a few months ago. Everything went together well. As simon k said, make sure you shim up the ball joints as per the workshop manual. I found the metal clips to hold on the CV boot went close to hitting the inside of the hubs. A gentle tap with a small hammer to sit them flat made sure they cleared the hub. Also make sure you change the back brake cylinders over to 5/8 inch. Check your front and back flexable hoses while you are at it for signs of perishing. Take your time and double check everything. |

sounds good - so in that case, you'll just need to unbolt the calipers to do the hoses did it come with driveshafts, or do you need to use your own? |
