Hello. Haven't been here for soo sooo long time. It's soo not cool. I must have missed out lots of good stuff. Anyway. I still can't stopping thinking how nice the people here are. Old story about my lost and back mini. I have painted my mini roof into white.. and I also bought some white car sticker . Cut into shape and installed on my mini. The more I look at them, the wider they seem to me. ![]() I even watch the italian job over and over, examed my mini photos to compare the width. I just wonder, is there a standard width of those strips or you can make them any way you perfer. ? If there is a measurement. please provide. I may have to do it again. Thanks heaps. |

I have 86 rover mini. I also have some mini collection cards, I compared them. different model mini do have different width strips. I did my by watch the old red mini in the new italian job. The strips on that mini is as wide as the fog lights on it..I have fog lights. Maybe fog lights have differnt width too., I cut the strips according to my fog light's width. I must have the bigger fog lights then. I m really confused now. Maybe I should redo it.Or buy the sticker from the mini supplier. ...one size fits all. ![]() |

I'd say buy the sticker... they're pretty cheap, I ordered it from England amongst other goodies. I can go measure them for you later today if you want... |

The stripes on my cluman are width of the bonnet minus the piece of paper I layed down the middle + (width of masking tape *4) & /2. Looks ok from 10Ft or more. ![]() |

sus out my car at www.pbase.com/hanra/mini I cant remember how wide they r exactly, it seems though that the newer minis stripes were narrower. I could try and measure it when i get home, bit hard getting out to the shed on a broken leg though!! |
