Go to the tool box and get the biggest socket you have which will fit inside the welsh plug. Use this (and a soft hammer) to push them in. Use a little sealant as well to make doubly sure they don't give you any problems. |

I think Mick and kiwi are talking about the cup type, and you're talking about the lens/dome type, right? lens/dome ![]() cup ![]() |

Yep works on both types as it keeps the plug square. Is the engine in car, its a lot harder to do it in the engine bay. I lie the engine on its side or back when doing the instal as this eradicates any gravity issues |

the engine is out the car and its the dome type plug so the same rules apply for this type ???? |

Dome type sits in against a recess. Dome pointing out. Unlike the cup type you then need to flatten the dome a bit, to spread the diameter- which makes it seal. But don't overdo it. Clean the recess and put some gasket sealant there before fitting. ![]() |

The lens/dome type should fit in by hand, and then you flatten out the centre which expands the OD making it a tight fit. |
