well it really depends on what you want engineered, and if you know someone that can do it. but the going rate tends to be around the 300-500 mark from all reports. i am sure someone will correct me if i am wrong.

Cheers

After speaking to a very nice technical advisor at the RTA last week - he told me all I need to do to get my LHD Moke on historic rego is get an engineers cert for the LHD conversion.
That and a Blue slip, then rego should be OK. As long as the Club registrar approves it.

In a nut shell - yes.

Plus - I thought it'd be a novelty to have a LHD Moke and it's already running - only needs a paintjob.

Depending on who you talk to, some "modifications" like replacing drums with discs....so long as it just a straight parts swap...can be done by the owner.

Some states are terribly pedantic...others, well, almost anything goes...

I should have - he was really great.

They're not all a#@eholes at the RTA. My Mum is one of the lovely ladies who stands behind the counter at Liverpool RTA who tells you that you don't have the right paperwork after you've waited for hours.

The engineer for my Starlet conversion is charging me $800 all up. But as you can tell this ain't a straight swap so I expected a fair wad. While I have youse, I gather I should get a list together of the things that need engineering so that he can incorporated them in the engineering certificate?
