I seem to have done something really really bad to my brake system..
It's a 64 mini with 7.5" 4 pot discs in the front and drums in the back.
It is driven by a single slave unit..

I removed my brakes to have a few things repaired the other week and i installed them back into the car today,
Filled the brake master cylinder up and began flushing the brakes.
The sequence i used was RL,RR,FL,FR.
I bled the brakes using a 2 person method until fresh fluid with no air bubbles came out of all nipples.
I depressed the brake pedal and it went straight to the floor, I was not getting any resistance whats so ever... I thought maybe if i drive it and pump the brakes i will get some resistance,
So i decide to drive the car 50mtrs down the road and preform a stop, I put my foot on the brake pedal and it just keeps going till it hits the floor.. I have no brakes what so ever...
I have checked around the master cylinder and all my brake lines for leaks and there seems to be none.

I am thinking i could of fouled the piston seal in the cylinder as i drained all the fluid in it, Is there a way to confirm this without taking it apart?

I am also running a pressure activated brake light switch and that is not activating so there is either air still in the system or the cylinder is not compressing,
I would like to rule out air in the system as i have gone through 6 bottles of brake fluid in 2 weeks..

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Edit: My calipers are fitted right way up with nipples facing up.

keep bleeding, or unscrew the pipe out of the master cylinder. put your finger over it and get someone to pump the pedal, this checks to see if your mc is working ok.

I unscrewed the pipe and had someone press the cylinder and heaps of fluid came out so it defiantly works.

The calipers i have are designed to fit 12 and 13" wheels but the previous owner shaved the caliper down so it can fit under 10" wheels, There is also another bleed nipple that has been cut off,
Is there a chance i could still have air trapped in the other side of the caliper? I am only bleeding from 1 nipple each side.

Are the 4 spots new? Take the pads out and pump the pedal to get the pistons moving about 5 or 5 mm. Maybe put a chock in to get one piston moving at a time. Squeeze the pistons back and put your pads back in. Should be right then.

As the calipers have been no doubt emptied by the brake shop to drill & helicoil the threads, my bet is YES, you have air on the other side- they need to be bled.
If you can't achieve this somehow, I'd take them back to the brake place.

Doesn't sound like a good setup to me at all. Probably does have trapped air in a good scenario, the dodgy bleed screw could even be leaking.

Sounds like your brakes need adjusting, adjust the drums at the back and then rebleed.

Have you got your front calipers on the correct sides?

Make sure you have them on their correct side. Meaning the bleed Nipples should be at the top.

I didn't bother reading the opening post real well either, can you tell us if the bleeders are facing up?
