Hey guys need some help,

I need to know how to raise the car back up as it has been lowered too much so that my new wheels won't fit. They are o.k when you put the new wheels on as they only rub when you turn the wheel not in a straight line . If any body can help I will be very grateful.

Rich

If there are different ways / types then if you can list them that would be great as I'm not sure what I have.

You need to find out why its low.
If its fitted with adjustable suspension wind it back up.
If the rubber cones have sagged, get them replaced.
If the trumpets have been shortened, replace them (with adjustable, if you like).

are you putting mega huge 13" wheels on it? if so the guards need to be trimmed regardless of ride height

They are 12's but the tires on these are slightly wider than the other set

Ignore the diameter, whats the tyre width and rim offset?

Start at the beginning, what makes you think it's been lowered?

Bit of a hijack - I have just refurbished my suspension and have hi-lo's in the front with standard rear. I have adjusted the front to the height i want; however, the rear is sitting too high. I look like an old school hot rod with the bum sitting up in the air. Is it a matter of letting the suspension settle over time or do I have to redo the back end? I have standard shocks all round(KYB Gas-a-just)but all the manner of bouncing and putting weight in the back still see's my mini bum sitting up n the air.

If you put new cones in the rear you will need to put hi-los in the back and adjust it back down. It wont settle on it's own as there is no weight over the rear of the car. Likewise the front will drop for the next 12months or so until it stabilises a bit.

Yepp new rubber cones all round - let me tell you they were a trial to get into place and the trumpets in as well. I have some ripspeed hi-lo's for the back also but will instal at a later date. I will just persevere with the werd driving angle until all settles. Thanks simon.

I recall ages ago when I bought my car from a boy racer who said that he had it lowered but the police pulled him over for having them too low? (whether or not that 's true)

The new wheels only rub when you go round corners
