Take the top arm out. Saves a lot of hassle.

Spray WD40 round the lip of the trumpet and leave overnight.

When I pulled my fronts out the hi los just wouldn't separate. I tried WD40, heating the cone and cutting the cone but to no avail.

I bought new hi-los for the new cones and left the old ones sitting for another time when I have nothing better to do.
