I'm building a twincam 1360 which should make around 100+ atw. The car is a daily drive but always gets driven hard. What sort of clutch should I look at getting that will be able to handle the power and abuse but not be to hard on my foot in stop start traffic? |

I have an orange dot in my supercharged engine which seems OK Bit heavier than the standard cooper s type but not too bad in light traffic |

I second the orange dot. I have one in the 1412 which has 112ft/lb torque. And another in the 1360. Set them up so the diaphragm spring is flat when assembled. See http://www.minimania.com/web/SCatagory/ ... ticleV.cfm for assembly details and procedure. |

you should find the orange to be fine for what you want the verto system is too heavy in my books & even if you were turbo charging, i`d just use one of our "Re-pivoted" systems |

All right so where do I go to get these? is it just as simple as asking the local auto parts store for a mini orange dot clutch or what? |

Any mini parts supplier should be able to help or ring Karcraft in Sydney and they can ship one out. I doubt that Repco or Auto One would keep these in stock? They may have a standard clutch kit. |

Karcraft keeps the AP orange dot (rally) diaphragm in stock and also the AP comp (bonded & rivetted) clutch plate, you won't find them cheaper out here. They also keep the AP grey dot (race) diaphragm but IMO not needed for a road car. |

I also run orange dot + AP sintered clutch plate on my 1430 They don't come apart like some of the Cooper S (blue dot) plates. IMHO grey dot is for race only cars. |
