Does anyone know how to adjust the indicator stalk to enable the green light to flash? How is it earthed, I have adjusted the cancelling, but the light works very intermittently |

I know in England you can buy a replacement switch which has an additional and separate earth wire 'for more consistent operation' |

Yeah they try to earth through the body of the switch, i.e. down the stalk through the pivot to the steering column, but it doesn't take much to lose the contact. The main problem seems to be where the pivot point of the stalk is riveted, when the switches get worn the stalk gets floppy and the electrical contact gets flaky. When I've made my own green lights I've used a pair of wires to have a proper earth. You might be able to improve things by soldering a piece of flexible copper braid from the stalk (you'd need to get the chrome off a spot) to a proper earth wire in the switch. Tim |

Yeah, as Timbo says. The bulb gets it's earth through the arm pivot shaft and it struggles to get a good contact when there is some wear. I solder on a ground wire and no more problems. Al |

Buy a new one ,these have an earth wire fitted so you can provide a good earth rather than through the steering colum http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ws/eBayISAPI ... 0686404826 |
