Ok I'm sure there are Alot of ideas and hopefully even some pics of how you covered the massive hole behind your gauges? Im have a few rough ideas but I would like to see what some of you guys have done. Cheers Pete |

Get the plate that the factory fitted in the 70s before they deleted the hole. |

I need to do this also. But majority of my wiring runs through there & speedo cable. May have to make up a plate at work then buy bulkhead sound deadening . |

This shallow, fireproof 'airbox' is what the Group N cars are now allowed. All the wiring that normally runs through the area has to be re-routed and the oval dashboard speedo binacle is moved inwards about 1" further and that takes a fair bit of fiddling around; but it's certainly an improvement over what was allowed previously. All the guages and speedo in my S still work as noted by the speedo cable still in place. ![]() |
