Hi guys.

I attempted to paint my contessa wheels but failed so i have given up and decided to buy some proper wheels and keep the contessa's for track day bashing.

I have been reading that not all the 10" wheels will fit mini's with what i assume are cooper S arches and 4 pot alloy calipers.

What offsets do i have to look at? I just want everything to look right and since i am buying from the uk it would be a real pain to return something if i purchased it.

I have been looking at some simple minilites or of a similar design.
Do i go for 5x10" 6x10" wheels or 4.5x10" wheels?

http://www.minispares-online.co.uk/?cat ... od_id=1317

I have purchased 13x7" wheels off this mob before and i have been quite happy.

I'd go Minator 10x5 or 10x6...

Here's a pic- can get in UK too.

Have a look at MIDLAND WHEELS web site

I just purchased 4 only 12" x 5" rosepetals & tyres from them
took 7 days for delivery

Total cost $941 AUD including freight

I would love rose petals on my mini but they don't look right on flares, I think they look better with no flares.

@drmini
They look nice! i think they would be a little bit cheaper from the uk,
If i go wider will i lose the mini style handling?
I remember going from 12x5.5 to 13x7 it was really really sluggish.

Do you know the width of the contessa's by any chance? I am having problems finding the offset / specs of the wheel.

It became sluggish because you upped the diameter not the width. Stay on 10". 13" is for Moke owners and goobers with wheel fetishes.

Yes it does... The wider the wheel generally speaking the worser they will handle.

The first thing you notice is more bump steer. The swift gti I have is a bitch on 6in wheels , follows the troughs the buses put in our crap Adelaide roads.

And 10x6 miniators will extend out past standard cooper S flares ;)

The wider the wheel the more prone to tracking the car will be and on Sydney roads that would soon be a pain in the arse. On the other hand if you wanted a car that’s easy to drive you'd get a Falcadore with a slushbox
