Yea of little faith.....

This a NZ car - so Austin quite possible and even probable (and if I remember even some Aussie Morris were rebadged Austin for that market (or was that one of those myths ?))

It has the "can opener" drain holes on the gutters - so english style body.....

The BMH Certificate is happy to confirm as Austin as well....
and 1966 Rego papers too....

.. or have I missed something obvious ??? :?: :?: :?:
:)

EDIT:
No engine fan .....

So its an English import that at some time had a Morris badge fitted that has been swapped back to the correct one for resale .. Its obviously been repainted and retrimmed as well - not unreasonable if it was a racer at some stage..

Big deal.

Pending a proper inspection that confirms it is what is said...its a steal...

Cheers, Ian

If your selling a car you should at least have consistancy

I love that colour and trim combination.

I tell you something else that is odd though.

The seller says it has a 1000cc engine in the description.

Yet the head on the engine in the car is clearly a big bore head.

So it's either a small-bore block with a big bore head on it, or it's a 1275 and they lied to the officials. Or just possibly a 970 block which would be very cool indeed.

Cheers,

While you are right Brett and it would be good to have consistency, a closer look shows that there is.

There is clearly 2 sets of photos mixed in together, the older set would be those inside with the wipers half way u the screen showing morris badges front and rear as well as no tacho.

The later set has the car outside with the wipers in a parked position, featuring Austin badges and a tacho.

A question to the seller would confirm these observations.

I also noticed this and it is another point that a question should clear up.

I would go there if I was serious about owning it. But alas, I am not. :)

No Servo, regulator in the wrong place, solenoid bracket standard one. Lots of things not quite right but it may well have been an S once.
