Hey guys I have a set of metro 4 pot calipers to put on my clubman, is a booster needed? Also where does the vacuum come from to operate the booster? |

I'm not using a booster on my mini with 4 spot Minisport calipers and the brakes feel OK, not as easy pedal pressure as my Coopr S but much better than drums. Probably a Personel choice |

I've got Metro 4 pots on the Moke with no booster and a standard m/c. They're very effective under normal braking conditions and extremely good if you really step on the pedal hard. Tim |

Your choice of pads will also affect the pedal pressure needed. I use drums, but I hear that greenstuff pads are pretty good for a lighter pedal. The vacuum needs to be taken from the inlet manifold, which means either modifications to the original, or a new manifold (which means a new exhaust manifold too). The original is a joint inlet/exhaust manifold, to replace one you need the other unless you cut the stock one. |

A booster is never needed unless you have a particularly weak leg, or you live somewhere where the rules dictate it. It 's preference/feel thing. I metro vented with greenstuffs. Put you through the windscreen without even trying. |
