Can these be replaced by the standard 35A 32mm fuses? The Lucas fuses seem to be narrower than the ones that you get at Autobarn and other auto shops.

Firstly they never got carpet here, the Matics all got rubber mats.
My 2nd matic had the mats intact, the cable went through a slit cut in it then out through the `850' style rubber boot screwed to the floor.
I can't remember whether the shifter box was bolted through the mat, (it was a while ago, non goer when bought and I never drove it...) but I think not. Happy to be corrected...
