Hey all, As the title suggests, what is it actually like living with sliding window doors? Does it make it a hassle - without having a full window to slide down. I'm thinking all-round stuff here; ventilation, access, etc. It's only just crossed my mind... what a primitive way of opening a window, with a slider! WG |

Ventilation stuff i quite like it.. You open the front a little bit and it de mists the window and does not stuff up your hair... Access is bad if you want to take pictures and drive :/ I am sure it will work with a point and shoot but i have problems with trying to point a dslr and 2 hands out the window. |

![]() If Richard Hammond could get a burger and chips through a gun port on the Marauder, I don't see a problem with sliding windows. ![]() |

Ive thought about and continue to think about changing to sliding windows, I mean they look so awesome! But im sure if I got them id just want to go back to winders within the summer months. If you forget legality you could go the fibreglass/carbon fibre Mk1 doors with sliding windows for ultra lightness. |

My first mini had sliders. Drive thru has been mentioned as a problem, but those people should've just walked in. I used the drive thru on purpose because its halarious. ![]() Ventilation wise if they were fully opened then not much draft would get in, good in winter for frest air, but uncomfortable in the summer. Storage space in the doors is nice, room to stash anything you like in there. Biggest concern for me would be security, but rarely would you leave an 850 in a dangerous place for an extended period. |

Fine for ventilation, except if stopped in traffic in summer. Drive through windows are best done by opening the door (especially at the bottle-o). |

Luv em! Summer I have the front glass open, then just a smidge on the rear glass and there's a great breeze. Where else could you reach over and do the other side while driving along. Besides they look great. Alex. |

Being a strong believer in comfort 850 Doors are a big help. Arm rest/knee rest as one can see in the photo. Anyone that has a sliding window door, should try this... If anyone would like to come and experience the comfort of the arm rest, you are quite welcome to have a drive in Darrell or one of his many friends. ![]() |

willy Sliders are fine to live with. I didn't get too hot driving mine, mind you this last summer was exactly a scorcher in Sydney. Drive thru was no good as mentioned. My biggest complaint is that you can't fat arm comfortably. |
