Post subject: | Flood Mini restore - Wheel and Tyres |
In the process of getting a wheel tyre package for my flood mini restoration I currently have 10" minilite with 7.5 disk brakes to the front http://www.minisport.com/mini-spare-par ... tripe.html I can get this with either 12x5 or 12x5.5 And I'm going with the Yoko rubber And I am leaning towards the WP Arches http://www.woodandpickett.com/shop/clas ... rches/365/ Over the Group 2 Arches that have the visible screws Has anyone used these .? Any advise o the 5.5 or the 5 ?? Do I need any other bits to use either of these , when going from a 10" mini lite Such as spaces , suspension upgrade bits etc .? |

I run wood and pickets and love them. I'd say at least a 5.5 wide wheel to fill them. Shouldn't need anything to fit larger wheels, maybe consider bigger brakes as you have the room but not essential |

All depends on the offsets! I have some 12 x 5 minilights and also had 12 x 5 superlights. The superlights stuck out past the rover stlye plastic flare yet the minilights are dead level! So all depands on the offset. |

Don't upgrade the brakes. You will feel no difference in stopping power. The main thing with sticking with 7.5" discs is you can go back to the 10's with no worries. You will end up going back onto 10's. It might take a little while but you'll see the light. ![]() |
