Tell my guys what i have to do!!!!
The coil is fine....
i adjusted the points,
i changed the condencer "secondhand'
i replaced the plugs 'new'
I checked the leads
I tryed hotwireing it. bat-coil
Why wont the point have any spark, Why is the spark so crap at the plugs!!!!

I really dont know what to do now.
except change every thing again.

i know this may sound silly but is the little carbon thingy in the top of the cap ???
or is there any crap on the rotor button ??

Lets get this straight, you have no spark at the points? If so how did you check it?

How do you know the Coil in Fine
Check for a Cracked Dizzy cover also
and points inside the cap also

Yeah i have being thinking about it for a while, i will replace the button and the cap, it isnt oftern they fudge up though.Maby i replace it all.

Have you checked that you put the points in correctly...especially the insulated washer....you should have 12V across the points when they are open.

Why waste money like that. Finding the problem would be cheaper and you would learn how to trouble shoot the ignition. I fail to see how the cap can be the problem but it is your money. Does the coil discharge if you test the points without the motor turning over?

With the ign on and the points open, u should have 12v on the supply side of the points. If u close the points by winding the motor over by hand, u may see a small spark as the points close and drag the 12v to gnd. Ive had times when, after adjusting the points with feeler gauge, they have gotten lube from the feeler gauge on them and this must act as an insulator and stops the spark. Cleaned the points up with a points file.

Check resistance of the LV leads also check resistance of the HV lead. Not sure exactly on impedance but should measure somewhere in the K ohms i think.

You can also try having the ign on and take the HV lead of the dizzy cap and take it to gnd to see if it arcs, this will prove if the Coil is OK or not. No spark faulty coil or HV lead!

A dud coil can still deliver a spark (personal experience) but not enough to fire off the plugs fully. Swap the coil for a known good one temporally to see if it helps.

Always clean new points before installing. Then use a dwell meter especially with a lucas dissy.

I got it running and far out did it run well, I replaced everything cost me $50 'bigdeal' and it sparks like new.. Anyway, thanks for the help.
