Hi I am restoring my 67 round nose and need a new boot lid and bonnet. Does anyone know if the late Leyland boot lid is interchangeable with the round nose? (just in case I come across one) Also is there someone that has either of these items lying around and wants to get rid of them (condition does not matter as long as they are straight). Thanks |

Yes it'll bolt straight on. I have a `70 Minimatic now with a `78 Clubby bootlid (I redrilled it for the original badging). |

I have heard that 850 bonnets are ever so slightly different to other bonnets. The curvature is slightly different and you wont get a perfect fit. It will fit no dramas, but the overhang from the front of the bonnet is greater or something. I remember we had a roundnose here and the bonnet wasnt a perfect fit and someone suggested it may have been an early bonnet. Anyone confirm or deny this?? Brenton |

I think Oz roundy bonnets are all the same pressing, but these days 40 or 50 years later 7/10 don't fit properly at the front. Including mine... They stretch out of shape easily. If you find one that matches both the wings, front panel and scuttle properly, you have done well... |

The later English front panels are all different to the early 850 ones,,,that`s for sure.!!!! |
