Tried knocking my CV's off this arvo, and one wouldn't budge. Was told this was an easy job. I ended up smashing the cage on the CV and removing the shaft with some CV still attatched.

The circlip had wedged under the spline and was bending up the edge of the spline rather than giving way.

Does this make sense? just though I would share this experience with everyone

Ideally, new wire circlips should be fitted whenever a shaft is pulled from a CV, but most people don't bother. Ditto the pot joints into the gearbox...
