| Post subject: | Piston to bore clearance advice |
My block is about to go out to 1380 to suit a set of pistons I have. These pistons were run in on another motor then ripped out a couple of hundred kms later. The machine shop wants to know what piston to bore clearance they should use in the new work. Advice? Whats normal? 2 thou? Cheers |

you will need to find out & adhere to the manufacturers specs for clearance |

Depends on the application. Race engine use slightly more clearance. |
