Just a thought I had after reading Tuck3r's thread on nylothane bushes

has any body ever thought about reaming out the top front control arms to take a bush instead of the bearings , also the rear swing arms ?
just a thought , most other cars are running on rubber bushes

Without a radius rod the arm would be able to move slightly fore and aft, other than that, all the suspension load on the front is pushing the arm down where the ball sits in it and due to how far out the actual ball joint is, i'd guess the pivot of the arm is taking about 3 - 4 times the actual suspension load so any soft of even hard rubber/plastic would collapse quickly.
