Drop the remote off at the front, then undo the engine steady bar for more wiggle room? Might help... |

And I guess you don't want to scratch that nice shiney paint Sorry many years since I have seen a standard set of S extractors But they must go in and out as I remember fitting a set to a mini deluxe many years ago |

Definately don't what to scratch it I remember having to put them in the engine bay before putting the engine in an then bolting it all together because the risk of scratching the hell out of the bulkhead and firewall was just to scarey for me to put it all in assembled Mark |

Good luck, I don't think it can be done. I couldn't get mine in with the engine sitting in a bare subframe. Cheers, Ian |

Post subject: | Extractor Removal |
The best way to remove the original extractors is to disconnect the Hardy Spicer Joint on the Drivers side. Then either, knock the studs out of the Drive Flange to push the shaft aside or alternatively ,drop the top ball joint to give you the extra room required.Maybe tie it up with string,to give some clearance. With the engine steady released, the Extractors should then come out using this space near the Uni Joint. It still requires some manouvering, but thats how I have been doing it for decades. |

Got them out as per origmini advise unbolted engine mounts and oil cooler and moved the engine forward has any body else had trouble with centre branch flange fouling on the inlet manifold ?. not the pipe , but the flange and the weld , had to grind it back so the inlet could sit flush on the head , what a pain in the rectum Mark |
