Post subject: | Wheel bearings and suspension parts |
Afternoon All, I've just been pulling my front drive stuff apart on my old mini and found that alot of it could be original or close to it. The drum has 18 7 61 cast into it, the wheel bearings are a collection of balls in a race etc. So is it worth rebuilding using the old bearings and any other servicable bits or should I move onto modern replacements? As far as I can tell my mini went out of use in the early to mid 80's and has been sitting in a shed. When I get to rebuilding the suspension, are Hi-Lo's worth the money? Which cones are better for spirited town driving? I've collected some pics and I am putting together some words so I can post a members build. Ian |
