Post subject: | rear subframe mounts |
Hey guys, I'm just in the process of stripping an Aussie clubman van for parts and have a query about the rear sub frame mounts. Judging on the oxidation around the four trunnion (not sure if it's the right term?) I'd say they were aluminium? They certainly have a different footprint to them-where they meet the underside of the shell. All four mounts are the same casting and having a larger foot print ad the sub frame at the rear has had the spot welding lands bent away for clearance. Are these common place over in Australia? Not long read the thread on the fabricated rear arms on here-interesting! Cheers Glenn |

I'm not sure about the earlier cars but those of the 70's were alloy, however the Moke from about 79 on were steel. |
