Post subject:  SU needles - for dummy (me)

Hi all
I have only seen 90thou fixed needles up close, and piccies of the swinging sort.

Am thinking of 'playing' with my twin hs4 set up .. currently running #3s on a mild to warm 1310.
Using Simons SU Needlethingy comparo or similar(mintylamb etc) some needles have 13 stages (presumably at 1/8in) and others 16. SO do the longer ones relate to 100thou needles or ?????

For example , the gradient of a #6 and a n ABD are similar but ABD has 16 stages

Info appreciated Darryl

No, the .100" needles are nearly .010" bigger diameter at the biggest end.
It's just that there seems to be 2 sorts of .090" needles (actually it's more accurate to say needles for a .090" jet)- short ones and long ones.

.100" needles are a different family, reserved for HS6 carbs and bigger.

There are so many needles now (700?) that yes you do find some of identical taper, and a different number.
