I've heard that the stock foam in ram flos is dodgy? Just switch straight to this finer filter foam? Is the replacement ram flo foam any good?

Finer Filter went bust years ago and got absorbed by Unifilter.
The standard Lynx Ramflo foam is rubbish, it is too restrictive and crumbles with age. And catches fire easy too.

Unifilter foam is the best IMO, it is pre-oiled, is polyurethane so doesn't rot, and has less flow restriction than the Lynx stuff.
P/nos:
LNX300 for round 300 series SU Ramflo filters
LNX400 from oval 400 series Weber Ramflo filters
Cost $9.50 ea approx.
Available online from Unifilter. Buy some filter oil, too.

Leigh it wasn't me, it was Matt... he must have an old slab 10 years old, unless Unifilter are selling Finer Filter foam (I've not checked the whole Unifilter site. There is no Finer Filter sita now AFAIK.

Just buy the LNX400 pre-cut ones off Unifilter, $9.50 ea, see my post ^^^

Nope no Rylestone this year, $$$ has been tight lately.

Sorry Kevin! I have found the unifilter ones to be a little short in places allowing gaps around the edge of the cage. That's why I was hoping to be cut me own.

They should book you as the support vehicle for the run!

Thanks.
