Ok not the gauge itself but the cable is broken off where it runs into the engine. Is this an easy fix or do I have to get a new cable? If so where and how much? Cheers Pete |

I think it would be cheaper / easier to buy a new gauge as the cable and the sensor is very sensitive and brittle. |

Proper instrument repairers eg Olympic Instruments can fix the good ones, but as Danny said unless it's rare, it's hardly worth it these days. |

I brought a new temp gauge and oil gauge in from Minispares UK a while back. Freight to Oz wasn't much back then, but lately it's been silly. If you want Smiths brand they would still be cheapest from UK I'd say. Best decide what brand you want first, then hit the Googler... 
Just remember you get what you pay for- most of the cheapo stuff here now is rubbish. |

Ian , you can buy a "duel" guage oil press & water temp all in one i like them anyways
