I'm after some recommendations for reputable shops/people around Brisbane to do the major bodywork on my Mini. I need to:

1. Replace the entire front apron panel
2. Replace the rear beaver
3. Replace the A panels
4. Replace the front floor section
5. Replace the outer sills.
6. Weld the D-pillars where they meet the rear panels.
7. Beat some dings out/panels back into shape.

Car will be sandblasted, front apron has been removed and I can transport to and from workshop.

It's the next thing on the list and the only thing stopping me from getting on with the paint and prep. I'm no good with a welder or panel beating so some recommendations would really be appreciated! :)

Hi mate.. Be very careful, Lots of people saying that they can do it etc...

My mate got his done by a bloke in Brisbane and has caused so much paint issues....

As your in Brisbane, I would seriously recommend for :

SandBlasting and priming:: Metal Prep https://plus.google.com/103089242475260 ... l=au&hl=en

Body Work: BJ Panel Restoration 0403120921 he's in his late 60s, and looking at retiring soonish.. but he is old school, and I watched him PANEL BEAT ( not bog) by hand a hail damaged XYGT Roof back to perfectly straight.. Brilliant bloke, calls it as it is...

Paint Graham Carr from Carr Creations... He is brilliant, but won't do any work if you get the sand blasting done by anyone else but Red.. and him and Bill work from the same shed....

http://www.carrcreation.com/

if you want to check out their work, check out my progress restoration... http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic ... c&start=15

Cheers Brett

These guys http://www.oz-rods.com/ are in Logan and might be worth checking out. I know they have worked on a couple of minis and they obviously have some experience with the type of work you need done.

I can't say i've actually seen any of their finished products (that i know of) but i'm sure you could check out all you need by walking into their workshop. May be pricy but i don't really know, just assuming.

Thanks guys.

Carr Creations and BJ's look pretty good. I might have to stop in and have a chat with them...
