If this relates to the Sirion project, there is no substantial difference between subframes. The differences which exist are limited to bumper bar mounting options. I think any old mini subframe will go straight in.

Trailing arms are different. Hrrrmmm, what else?
I can't remember. Perhaps wheel hubs too?

Eg: my Moke has a subframe from a Deluxe or a K or some other late roundy.

If you drop the front subframe complete with engine, brakes, etc,, that is all Mini. Rack is the same, Headlights, Master Cylinder.
If you drop the rear the rear arms are longer and not mini. Everything else if different, i.e. the body.

well if im going to pull the subframes appart and get them powder coated etc, i was going to buy kits for the trailing arms etc (if needed of course) and if i look for parts on minispares, they dont really stock "moke" parts but i was wondering if they are different to mini parts for this purpose

know what i mean ? :)

Yeah, I know what you mean.

I think from a subframe perspective you're fine.

Just get Mini stuff, you'll be right

The front frame is a Mini frame with a couple of add ons for bumper mounts and sump guard.

how about brakes, and perhaps even steering racks ?

i intend to replace the front brakes with discs, and renew the rear..

Mini King has rebuilt Oz racks for later Mokes, with Morris 1100 tierods on em. This gives a bit more thread engagement in the tierod ends.
But really these are for the last of the Mokes which had funny steering arms; on a `77 either these or a std Mini rack should fit OK.

Also if you are fitting imported 8.4 disc brake assy S/H they often had steering arms
that did not give You enough thread on Your tie rods When fitting the Tie rod Ends

Front moke subframes As Morris 1100 Said

Rear subframes are standard dry frames with some extra sheet metal bits welded
on for extra strength
