I plugged one in to my engine to make sure the new oil pump I put in was working fine. I still haven't mounted it, it's sitting in my glove box. I keep my glove box open to check the pressure :D |

Back when I had my 1275LS on the road I had the gauge in the little glovebox to the right of the main three dial cluster. I also kept the oil light to alert me to look at the gauge. I did change the light switch to one that comes on at a higher pressure, so that you know you have a problem before the bearings run out of oil! |

When i converted my mini K to clubman Dash I built a panel out of tin and covered it vinyl. Filled in the area to the right of the speedo nicely with oil gauge. Though i had to mount it with screws from under the wheel arch. Cheers Rob |

Mine are all in a dash I made.. Mounted on the angle above the head unit ![]() Switching to spek gauges when the Suzuki build is done. So they can flash at low / high pressure |

Thanks for all the replys, it's for a clubman . I thought it would be good on the left of the cluster. I have retained the light and the gauge operation through a t-piece . I will post pictures up when I've finished installing it all. Cheers Dan |

So I've decided to post some progress shots of me installing and oil pressure gauge to my mini so hopefully it can help others on the forum.I bought a speco street series gauge for $60 , a gauge holder for $5, a t-piece connector so I could retain the oil light. ![]() This is an electric gauge so it came with a sender unit that will screw in to the t- piece ![]() This is the oil switch which is originally in the block. ![]() This is the t-piece that will let me be able to retain the warning light and have the extra security of the gauge. ![]() This is it all assembled , note all the threads are the same on the switch on the sender and on the adaptor. I tried it two ways to see how it was going to look and to check all the threads. ![]() ![]() I then checked that the adaptor fitted in the block and then I sealed the thread and fitted it. ![]() I then fitted the sender and the switch ![]() ![]() I then ran the wire from the sender into the cabin thru the same route as the original wiring. To connect to the gauge. I will post the rest llater when I do the final fitment in the cabin. |

My oil pressure gauge is currently mounted on top of the lower dash rail in the centre, right next to the water temp. I'm currently using very high tech duct tape to secure them to the rail. It does however normally reside in a wooden dash panel i made, where the sit in the middle, above a headunit. |
